All firefighters of HPFD are State Certified Firefighter I & II through the Arizona Center for Fire Service Excellence. All firefighters are trained in Wildland Urban Interface.

All HPFD personnel are Arizona State Certified and Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technicians or Paramedics. We provide both BLS and ALS services.
All firefighters are trained in extrication.
